Carnivore Carnival BBQ contest is scheduled for October 3-4, 2025, at the Platte County Fairgrounds in Platte City, Missouri. The event features a total prize payout of $20,000.
Friday, October 3rd Schedule:
1:00 PM: Cooks Meeting
2:00 PM: Judges Meeting
7:30-8:00 PM: Baby Back Rib Turn In
9:00 PM: Awards
Saturday, October 4th Schedule:
5:00 PM: Prairie Fresh St Louis Style Ribs Turn In
6:00 PM: Awards
Entry Fees & Payouts:
Entry Fees: $125 for Rib Cookoff,
Payouts include:
Rib Cook-Off: $1000 for 1st place, $500 for 2nd, $400 for 3rd, $300 for 4th, and $200 for 5th. Places 6th-10th receive $100 each.
Special Notes:
The overall combined grand champion wins $5,000 and a free entry to the 2026 Memphis in May competition.
The event benefits Children’s Mercy Kansas City.
